BBM is a Non-Governmental organization dedicated to empowering communities and driving positive social change through targeted capacity building and awareness initiatives. Established in 1992, while initially focused on health and disability issues, BBM has expanded its scope to include comprehensive training and workshop programs for key professional sectors, including educators, healthcare providers, media personnel, and fellow NGO workers. BBM operates on the principle that by empowering these influential community figures, it can create a ripple effect, leading to wider public awareness and sustainable development, particularly in public health areas such as tobacco control.
BBM's training programs are designed to be evidence-based, collaborative, and tailored to the unique needs of each professional group, with the goal of improving performance and promoting a culture of continuous learning.- For Teachers & Educators: We equip teachers with skills to integrate critical health and social messages into their curricula, focusing on student mental health, safeguarding, and effective strategies for preventing youth tobacco use.
- For Doctors & Healthcare Providers: BBM organizes workshops on current health challenges, patient communication, and effective counseling strategies for harm reduction and quitting tobacco.
- For Journalists & Media Personnel: We empower journalists to become effective advocates for public health by improving data interpretation skills and enabling critical, accurate reporting on public health policies.
- For NGO Workers: BBM offers specialized training to enhance internal efficiency, project management, financial accountability, and communication skills across the non-profit sector.
